British singer MNEK is not happy with DJ Jessica, host of the weekly M4B Radio Top 40, right now.
On the November 27th episode of the M4B Radio Top 40, MNEK’s collaboration with Joel Corry, “Head & Heart” was at #37. When DJ Jessica outro’d the song, she pronounced his name as “M-Neck” instead of M. N. E. K., which is the proper pronunciation.
MNEK’s real name is Uzoechi Osisioma Emenike, and the letters when said individually have the same pronunciation as his last name.
MNEK slammed the radio show host by saying that maybe she’d be better at pronouncing artists’ names if she wasn’t “so far up the asses of Grace and Chris.”
DJ Jessica responded by saying, “I’d worry less about how I pronounce your name and more about how your making songs that sound straight out of 2011 in 2020 bro.”
