The 1975’s Matty Healy reportedly furious over re-entering the top 40

The 1975’s most recent single “If You’re Too Shy (Let Me Know)” has spent months on the M4B Radio Top 40 and went on to peak at #2. It finally fell off on the chart dated August 22, 2020… only to re-enter the following week.

Although we have not reached frontman Matty Healy ourselves, it is being reported through very reliable sources like, of course, this website, that he is “furious and pissed” over the song re-entering . Supposedly his friend and compadre JP Saxe told him the news about the song re-entering in a recent Zoom call, and every other word out of Healy’s mouth was “bloody M4B Radio DJs” and “fucking get over it”. It has been reported that during the phone call he called the host DJ Jessica a “Chris crazy mofo”, on-air talent Complayn Malik a “British Caillou”, and said that HQ Trivia host/frequent guest star Matt Richards has “way too much fun singing about sanitizing his fucking hands,” which also led to a debate between himself and Saxe as to whether or not you should actually get the cuticles. It has also been rumored that the phone call ended with Healy throwing his radio out the window.

More details to come.
